“పెట్టుబడి” (Capital) మొదటి సంపుటం 1867లో, రెండవ సంపుటం 1885లో, మూడవ సంపుటం 1894లో వెలువడినాయి. ప్రపంచ వ్యాపితంగా అనేక భాషల్లోకి అనువదించబడి, కోట్లాదిమందికి మార్గదర్శిగా “పెట్టుబడి” గ్రంథం ఆచంద్రతారార్కంగా వెలుగొందుతోంది.
సమగ్ర తెలుగు అనువాదం దాదాపుగా దశాబ్ద కాలంపాటు సాగి 1996లో మొదటి ముద్రణతో ముగిసింది. ఆ తర్వాత రెండవ, మూడవ సంపుటాలు తెలుగులో వెలువడ్డాయి.
“పెట్టుబడి” గ్రంథం వెలువడి నూటయాబై సంవత్సరాలైనా, దాని ప్రాధాన్యత నానాటికీ పెరుగుతూనే ఉందిగాని, తరగడం లేదు. అందులో విశ్లేషించిన అంశాలు, ప్రతిపాదించిన సూత్రీకరణలు సజీవంగా నేటికీ మన సామాజిక జీవనంలో ప్రస్ఫుటంగా కనిపిస్తున్నందు వల్లనే ఆ గ్రంథానికి అంత ప్రాధాన్యత ఉంది. 2008లో అమెరికాతో ప్రారంభమై ప్రపంచంలోని పెట్టుబడిదారీ దేశాలనూ, వాటితో వ్యాపార లావాదేవీలు కలిగిన అభివృద్ధి చెందుతున్న దేశాలను సహితం కుదిపివేసిన ఆర్థిక సంక్షోభం అనంతరం మార్క్సిస్టు మేధావులతోపాటుగా ఇతర మేధావులు, ఆర్థికవేత్తలు పెట్టుబడి గ్రంథాన్ని తిరిగి అధ్యయనం చేస్తున్నారన్న వార్తలు ఆ గ్రంథ ప్రాధాన్యతను నొక్కి వక్కాణిస్తున్నాయి. ప్రపంచ వ్యాపితంగా లక్షల సంఖ్యలో పెట్టుబడి గ్రంథ కాపీలు పునర్ముద్రించబడ్డాయి.
“పెట్టుబడి” గ్రంథాన్ని మార్క్స్ రాస్తున్న కాలంలో పెట్టుబడిదారీ విధానం ఉచ్చదశలో ఉంది. మానవ శ్రమను పెట్టుబడిదారు దోచుకోవడంపై ఆధారపడిన ఉత్పత్తి విధానం ఆనాడు ఇంగ్లండులో గట్టిగా వేళ్ళూనుకొని ఉంది. ఐరోపా దేశాలకూ, ఉత్తర అమెరికాకూ పెట్టుబడిదారీ వ్యవస్థ విస్తరిస్తూ ఉండేది. తనని తాను రక్షించుకోడానికి కార్మికవర్గం అప్పుడప్పుడే బలం కూడగట్టుకోవడం ప్రారంభించింది.
'పెట్టబడి' గ్రంథంలోని మొదటి సంపుటంలో ప్రఖ్యాతిగాంచిన 32వ అధ్యాయంలో పెట్టుబడిదారీ సంచయనం యొక్క చారిత్రక ధోరణిని మార్క్స్ విశ్లేషించాడు. సామాజిక శక్తుల ప్రతిస్పందనను గురించి చెప్తాడు. శ్రామికవర్గం పెరుగుదల, ఆ వర్గ దోపిడీ పెరుగుదల, ఆ వర్గ చైతన్యం పెరుగుదల, శ్రామికవర్గ సంఘటిత తిరుగుబాటు, దాని నాయకత్వ సంసిద్ధత, దాని మిత్రుల సామాజిక సమీకరణలు పెట్టుబడిదారీ వ్యవస్థను కూలదోసే కీలకమైన అంశాలు. మార్క్స్ చెప్పినట్లు 'పెట్టుబడి ప్రభువులు నిత్యం క్షీణించే సంఖ్యతోపాటు, దారిద్ర్యం పీడన, బానిసత్వం, పతనం, దోపిడీల పరిమాణం పెరుగుతుంది; కానీ దానితోపాటు కార్మికవర్గం యొక్క నిరసన కూడా పెరుగుతుంది. ఈ వర్గం నిత్యం సంఖ్యలో పెరుగుతూ, పెట్టుబడిదారీ ఉత్పత్తిక్రమం యొక్క సంవిధానం చేతనే క్రమశిక్షితమై, సమైక్యమై, వ్యవస్థీకృతమైన వర్గం అవుతుంది. ఉత్పత్తి విధానంతోపాటు, ఉత్పత్తి విధానంలో పుట్టి, వర్ధిల్లిన పెట్టుబడి గుత్తాధిపత్యం ఆ ఉత్పత్తి విధానానికి శృంఖలం అవుతుంది. ఉత్పత్తి సాధనాల కేంద్రీకరణా, శ్రమ సామాజీకరణా చివరకు ఏ దశకు చేరుకుంటాయంటే, అక్కడ వాటికీ, వాటి పెట్టుబడిదారీ పై పెంకుకూ పొత్తు కుదరదు. దానితో ఈ పై పెంకు బ్రద్దలౌతుంది. పెట్టుబడిదారీ సొంత ఆస్తికి ఆయువు మూడుతుంది. ఆస్తిహరుల ఆస్తి హరించబడుతుంది.'
”పెట్టుబడి” మొదటి సంపుటానికి ఉపశీర్షిక పెట్టుబడి ఉత్పత్తి క్రమం (The Process of Production of Capital) కాగా రెండవ సంపుటానికి ఉపశీర్షిక పెట్టుబడి చలామణి క్రమం (The process of Circulation of Capital). చూడగానే రెండు సంపుటాల మధ్య వ్యత్యాసం స్పష్టంగా కనిపిస్తుంది. కర్మాగారం (Factory) తత్సంబంధిత శ్రమ స్థితిగతులను మొదటి సంపుటం వివరిస్తుంది. అనగా పెట్టుబడిదారీ విధానంలో సరుకుల ఉత్పత్తి భౌతిక స్వభావాన్నీ, అదనపు విలువ ఉత్పత్తి క్రమాన్నీ వివరిస్తుంది. దీనికి భిన్నంగా రెండవ సంపుటంలో మార్కెట్, తత్సంబంధిత అంశాలు చర్చించబడినాయి. విలువ, అదనపు విలువ ఏ విధంగా ఉత్పత్తి జరుగుతుందో గాక, మార్కెట్ ద్వారా వాటిని పెట్టుబడిదార్లు ఏ విధంగా నగదు రూపంలో రాబట్టుకుంటారో (Realization) రెండవ సంపుటంలో వివరించబడింది.
”పెట్టుబడి” గ్రంథం మూడవ సంపుటంలో పెట్టుబడిదారీ ఉత్పత్తి ప్రక్రియ సమగ్ర రూపాన్ని మార్క్స్ ఆవిష్కరించాడు. అందులో ఏడు భాగాలున్నాయి. అదనపు విలువ లాభంగా ఏ విధంగా పరివర్తన చెందుతుందీ, అదనపు విలువ రేటు లాభం రేటుగా ఏ విధంగా మారుతుందీ, లాభం సగటు లాభంగా ఎలా మారుతుందీ, లాభం రేటు పడిపోయే ధోరణికి మూలకారణాలేవీ; వ్యాపార పెట్టుబడీ, వడ్డీలు, అవి తెచ్చే పెట్టుబడులూ దాదాపు ఐదు భాగాల్లో మార్క్స్ వివరించాడు. ఆరవ భాగంలో భూమి కౌలును గూర్చి చర్చించాడు. ఏడవ భాగంలో ఆదాయాలను, స్టాక్ ఎక్స్ఛేంజీలు వగైరాలను విశ్లేషించాడు.
